Starting with the year 1981up to 1989 the school was run by a new headmaster,
Dr. Viliam Greksa. At that time the school was furnished with the latest
eqipment and modern educational technology. However, he was an authoritative
manager and the school´s atmosphere was very tense.
It was not just buildings but also the orientation that was being changed
during the existence of the school. At first it was a physical -training
oriented school. The lack of sports grouds made the authorities change the
school´s orientation. Beginning with the school year 1980 - 81 it became
a teacher -training oriented school. The school even offered a course for
nursery school teachers. After the first year teacher -training oriented
classes moved to Bullova Street. All secondary schools in Slovakia were
supposed to start so-called specialized teaching units. In the school year
1981 - 82 specialized preparatory classes were started - agriculture and
engineering.
Teachers of agriculture classes were Mrs. Ľudmila Hierwegová, Mrs. Anna
Maxianová and Mrs. Mária Némethová.
Teachers of engineering classes were Mr. Vladimír Hopka, Mrs. Anna Longauerová,
Mr. František Tóth and Mr. Anton Zboja.
Students had practical agriculture classes in a co-operative farm in Záhorská
Bystrica, Rusovce, Podunajské Biskupice and Rača.
They had practical engineering classes in factories that have changed at
present. They were ZŤS Petržalka (Mechanical Engineering Plant), Bratislava
Car Factory, Káblovka (Cable Factory) and Water and Sewerage Works in Bratislava.
The students had two weeks of practical classes and they had a chance to
learn necessary skills and check up technologies they were taught at school.
They had three agriculture-oriented subjects - agricultural technologies,
laboratory technologies and experimenting. There was a possibility to take
the school-leaving examinations from these subjects.
All the information was provided by Mrs. Anna Némethová.
