Since it was an eleven-year school, the major task was to engage qualified staff. The school management was lucky to have employed outstanding methodics experts, Mrs. Vozáriková and Mrs. Minichová. Qualified and active teachers were engaged to teach in higher grades. Mr. Polóny mentioned Mr. Sedlák, Mr. Podolský, Mrs. Chalupová, Mrs. Zoldyová and Mrs. Kolková in his memoirs. They were later joined by Mr. Richter, Mr. Kandráč, Mrs. Drobná, Mrs. Holubová, Mrs. Gažová and Mrs. Maňuchová. Mr. Štefanec, the headmaster, and Mr. Polóny, the vice-headmaster, laid emphasis on modern teaching, psychological approach to students, pedagogical tact as well as aesthetisation of education. The general level of the school was very high from the beginning and it met with a wide reception among parents. The number of classes of the ninth, tenth and eleventh grades was very low in the first years , because there was also an elementary school in the same building. That was why the school´s management had to decline a lot of applying students. There were over 40 students in each class. The structure of the school in the first three years was Eight grades of elementary school and three grades of secondary school.
