The school was re- organized in the years 1961 - 62. The Eleven-year secondary school (JS©) was converted into the Secondary comprehensive school (SV©). Both the elementary school and the SV© in Dubová Street were run by the same management and had the same teachers. After two years, in the school year of 1963 - 64, the schools separated and thus there were two managements and two staffs in one building. Owing to mutual understanding of both staffs there were no misunderstandings or arguments among teachers or students.
Quality requirements in education increased year by year.Both schools did not have enough room in the small building. The elementary school had huge problems and was even considering a three-shift run. Therefore the SV© moved from Dubová Street to the building of a former Vocational school of civil engineering in Cádrová Street in July 1966.From September 1966 the school took a new name - Secondary comprehensive school (SV©), 23, Cádrová Street. However, this did not meet the expectations at all. The number of the classrooms and accepted students might have been bigger, but the building itself had no proper eqipment. There were no special rooms, laboratories or other facilities. It cost the teachers a lot of hard work to teach properly. Their endeavour resulted in furnishing of a chemistry lab. Thus chemistry was the first subject , which could be taught on a required level. Next step was to furnish a physics and a biology lab and establish a specialized language classroom.
